THE PROPOSAL - English title:
"Dimensions of special products of vehicular and pedestrian area manhole covers and grates, of polymer (resin) concrete construction, - particulars of products."

The proposal comes to settle an open standard document, - concerning the dimensions of special products of manhole covers - which may be, as case, in concordance with requirement of basic standards in domain - as long as the basic standard does not apply for dimensions of special products of manhole covers.

The proposed open document aims to specify the main dimensions for special products of polymer (resin) concrete manhole covers and top gully gratings.

The development of this open standard intends to work from particulars to generals.
More exactly, we propose the setting up for first some documents concerning to particulars of special products of manhole covers and gratings; - in order to conclude later to a basic standard for this type of products.


Short description of design related to product and main dimensions, in order to setting up:
1 - Covers, - by frame and lid, - the rated diameter as a recognition criteria
(e.g. cover of 700mm rated dia.);
- the rated size of suitable/compatible manhole, (side length, or dia.).
- front side anti-slid pattern. (particulars/details)
- tolerance between frames and lid; - seating surfaces;

2 - Gratings,
- effective opening (clearance) of water access (drain) percentage.
- shape of front side surface, - anti-slid details,
- tolerance between frames and grates (grate-lids).

The product which the subject of open standardization consists in, may be suitable as outdoor manhole tops or chambers access, as well for sewerage, drain, storm sewers, ...so on.

Type of documents, as possible, in which the proposal, the open standard may later convert:
> concerning the ISO/CEI-2:2004; - technical specification, technical report, publicly available specification.
> concerning the EN45020:2006 description; - pre-standard, technical specification, technical report, or unilaterally aligned standard.
